Wet DNA Collection

"Saliva Collection."
It is recommended to take 2 saliva samples per person. These samples can be stored together once you have followed the step's below. If you have more then (1) person you are collection samples from, take extra percaution not to confuse "Whose samples are whose". You can do this by making sure that this sample and all others are clearly labeled.
Get (2) cotton swabs.
Get (2) "FREEZER" zip-loc bags.
Cut one end off or take connton off. Collecting (1) sample at a time, Gently place the cotton end inside the "cheek" area of your child's mouth. Collect saliva from both sides of the mouth, rolling the cotton swab up and down.
Without touching the swab place a label around the stock area you are holding. Stand the samples up; stick side down, in a safe place where it can dry over night. Styofoam cup's work well. Turn the cup up side down; push the stick end into the bottom. Use the same cup after your same has dried to collect dental impressions.
Put the swabs into the first zip-loc bag and seal.
Put into second zip-loc back, seal and store in your "FREEZER".
